an evening of celebration and song for close friends

Valentine’s Day, traditionally a day of romance for couples, doesn’t have to be limited to celebrations just for two. My clients seized this opportunity to host an intimate cocktail party for their dearest friends that pulled out all the stops. And of course...there were hints of romance in the air.
The Décor & Food:
Before I even began to work my magic, my client's gorgeous residence was pre-qualified to receive an award for romantic décor. Their dining room is stunningly decorated with heirloom pieces and an incredible trompe l'oeil fresco that set the stage for the mood. We added an abundance of over-sized custom florals in deep and bright reds and pinks; heirloom silver and china, lavish linens, and votive candles galore. Wines and champagnes were specially chosen for the occasion. Seductive yet hearty cocktail fare included lobster shooters with house made cocktail sauce; aged NY steak, shaved, seared rare and wrapped around roquefort cheese and fresh herbs; and more. Sweet palates were treated to heart-shaped mini-red velvet cakes, meyer lemon tartlets with raspberries, ginger cream and candied lemon peel; créme brûlée and more.
A better mood could not have been set on a sound-stage. Lighting was ambient and flattering. Sophistication and elegance were the order of the evening. Song stylings of crooner Douglas Roegiers artfully invited impromptu dancing beneath the stars and under the full moon!
It's a Wrap!:
To match the beautifully gold-inscribed red linen invitations, guests took home some memorable party favors: artisanal cookies were specially decorated and wrapped in organza bags atop a wrapped CD of the featured performer. Thank you to my clients for allowing me to share my creativity with you in the production of this most fabulous event.
